About the School
Welcome
Although the original infant school opened its doors in 1886, the present school was totally refurbished in 2002 to ensure it was ready for the 21st century. All classrooms have Internet links and interactive whiteboards and the children benefit from a dedicated food technology area and an information centre combining a computer suite with a non-fiction reference library.
We have extensive outside areas, which we use to support children’s learning and play. These include a large field, a wildlife area, a quiet reflective area, a pond, a sensory garden, a playground, which is painted with brightly coloured games, and a role play area with a sandpit, Wendy House, train, willow dome and wigwam. Each year group has a large indoor role play area.
